Tire: Blizzak LM-80
Category: Light Truck/SUV Performance Winter / Snow
UTQG (treadwear): Not rated
The Bridgestone Blizzak LM-80 is a small volume performance winter tire developed for drivers of higher horsepower SUVs and crossovers that still want to have a bit more sporting tire feel, while still having great winter traction. This tire in particular is available in many larger tire sizes and for low profile rims. This tire, along with others in the Blizzak family utilize an advanced winter tread compound that stays pliable in cold temperatures when ice and snow are on the ground. This tire has a very rigid internal structure, but is still a bit more forgiving than a run flat winter tire, so you'll have a better highway ride. Due to the LM-80's traction abilities, it is recommended that you only install them in sets of four. I haven't had too many people run these tires yet, so the reviews are not quite available. But I still probably wouldn't hesitate to recommend these tires to anyone in the market. The Blizzak family of Bridgestone tires has a good reputation. Hopefully I'll be able to update this review in the near future with some first-hand accounts.
