The Winterforce from Firestone is a workhorse winter tire, available in a wide variety of sizes and can be fitted to commercial vehicles requiring Extra Load sizes. You could call this a legacy style tire in that you can mix and match these tires with earlier versions. That being said, you'll still want to run four of these tires on your car, and not just two at a time. These tires can be studded, and will accept TSMI #12 metallic (silver color) studs.
So there's good and bad with these tires. As I mentioned, it can be called a legacy style tire so it has an older tread design. So if you just need to replace a couple tires, you're in luck. However if you are wanting to get a new set of four, you can find better traction for your money with some more innovative and better engineered tire in the category. Not that these tires will likely disappoint. Even without the studs, most drivers have found that these tires will even your two-wheel drive car into something that will take on even for most extreme snow conditions. Another good aspect is that you can get a lot of miles out of a set. Drivers have reported getting 90,000 miles out a set, which is exceptional for this type of tire. On the downside, road noise is on the high side, and especially at highway speeds. So if you're looking for a higher mileage, more sturdy workhorse style snow tire, these could meet your needs.
