Honestly, there are just not that many options out there when it comes to tires for trailers. I don't think of the trailer tire market to be really huge, but I think for those of us that have to haul stuff around, it's pretty darn important to us to have a high quality tire on back. These Goodyear Marathon Radials come in a pretty good size range, and are designed to be used on travel trailers, pop-up campers, boat trailers, and fifth wheels. They have a good weight capacity ranging up 3200 lbs. In terms of the tire itself, I mean, it's pretty basic. It looks like most any very standard radial tire. Tread pattern is ok, but this is just an A to B type of thing when it comes to trailer tires. I would also say that just because these tires come in sizes that might fit your car, please don't do it. Goodyear only recommends that these be installed on trailers.
What I've found interesting about these tires is that they seem to last a really long time. I know many drivers that have gotten at least 40,000 miles out of a set, and what's more impressive, is how long it took them to get there. The last person I talked to replaced a 20 year old set of these tires recently, which is a really damn long time for any set of tires to be on the road. Now I can't recommend you go that long on a single set, but I thought it was worth mentioning because it shows how rugged this little guys are. I'd say 10 years is probably the max I would go, but another part of me might want to just push on longer to see how far they'll go. So if you need some trailer tires, I'd say it's worth a look at these, otherwise there are just not too many more options on the market to choose from.
