I think the Grandtrek WT M3 tire has one of the more grand names on the market, it makes it sound as if this Dunlop is going out for an epic journey every time you hop in your truck or SUV. These tires are very specialized and were originally developed to be used as an original equipment (OE) tire on the Nissian Murano SUV. However they can be used on other trucks and SUVs, that run large wheels (18" or 19" only) and use low profile tires. Dunlop did this so that you can run your performance truck in the winter without compromising too much in terms of handling. This tire has lateral zigzag sipes arranged in high density which allow high horsepower vehicles to have great traction in pretty much every winter weather situation. Dunlop recommends that you only use these tires in sets of four.
Even though the Grandtrek WT M3 tires were originally destined for a midsize SUV, many other drivers of performance SUVs such as Land Rovers and Mercedes-Benz ML & GL-series have found these tires to be very effective at getting through rough winter weather. I've had many drivers compliment this tire, stating that it's very quiet at cruising speed (sort of rare for a winter tire), and that the grip is outstanding in snow situations. Most people seem to get around 40,000 miles out of a set, which seems pretty good considering the traction capabilities. I think this is a very solid choice for midsize to large SUVs needing a winter tire, and still want to have some semblance of handling after putting them on. I get complaints often about how winter tires are squishy, and this Dunlop is definitely on the opposite side of the spectrum.
