Tire: ContiTouringContact CV95
Category: Grand Touring All-Season
UTQG (treadwear): 360 A A
The ContiTouringContact CV95 is now a very low volume all season tire produced by Continental, and as this review is written it only comes in one 17" size. It has been traditionally been produced in a wider array of sizes, but has been replaced by other Continental tires such as the ContiProContact. So if you are looking for a tire like this from Continental, you'll probably have to check out that review or others we've looked at.
Not only is this a low volume tire, it's also a pretty low tech tire. It uses a very standard tread compound and pattern and generally doesn't have great traction. I think perhaps the one redeeming quality is that it is a lower weight tire, which is good for potentially getting better fuel economy. They also tend to last a little bit longer than their treadwear rating would indicate. Drives have reported that they can get up to around 80,000 miles out of a set. That's nothing to sneeze at, especially for the price that you can get a set for. I'd say if you think you'll be driving in harsh weather, then you should look right past these tires. I'm going to call these, for the most part, is a fair weather tire.
