Tire: Potenza G 019 Grid
Category: High Performance All-Season
UTQG (treadwear): 460 AA A
This tire reminds me as a toned down version of the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position, it has slightly less grip and performance, but has a better treadwear rating and should last a bit longer. That being said, it does similar things to the Potenza RE960AS, in that its combination of price, performance, and treadwear to create a really good value proposition. It employs an older version of the UNI-T technology, and for the performance category, I find that to be entirely appropriate. This is a good four season tire, so you can use it on your sporty car while getting through the snow in winter.
For the High Performance All-Season category, most drivers will see 60,000 miles or more out of a set. Many drivers have noted that road noise will start to get pretty loud around the 30,000 mile mark. Even with spirited driving, I think that almost any driver will hit that high mark. I wouldn't recommend getting this tire if prefer a more comfortable ride, it seems that the tread compound used on these tires makes for a slightly rougher ride versus other tires in this category.
