Tire: Blizzak LM-32
Category: Performance Winter
UTQG (treadwear): Not rated
This tire is more or less of an offshoot to the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 RFT, the main difference being that the LM-32 is not a run flat tire. Otherwise, where the LM-25 was developed for BMWs and the Nissan GT-R, the LM-32 was developed for a single vehicle: the Aston Martin Rapide. Not that you can't fit these tires to any other car out there if they'll fit on the wheel. I can't say a whole lot more than what was said in the review of the LM-25, so I'll suggest heading over there to get all the cool details about that tire, because you will essentially be purchasing the same thing. Always keep in mind that you should only install winter tires in sets of four. These tires are so much more capable on ice and snow that installing only two would be very unsafe. Maybe the one thing to point out is that these will offer a more compliant ride than summer tires, which have harder tread compounds.
That being said, many people not owning that quarter million dollar Aston Martin have fitted these Blizzak LM-32 tires to their cars and have had great results. To be clear, they are an expensive option for a winter tire, but they are one of the best on the market. They have similar technology to the LM-25, and will get you through winter really well. With so few drivers actually using and reporting on the lifespan the tire, it's been very hard to gauge how long this tire will last. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict (considering the quality of the tire) it won't be much less than what we've found from other tires in the category...which is 40,000 miles. Not sure if it'll make it just due to the aggressive tread design, but I thought it would be worth throwing that number out there.
