If you are looking for uncompromising performance during the warmer months of the year, this is a great tire to go with. It's a bit hard to find in the United States, as they must be imported from Britain. These tires are made specifically for warmer temperatures, so don't try to take them out in the ice or snow. However, due to this design, they will have much more grip on wet and dry pavement versus All Season tires.
Don't expect to get a lot of miles out of these tires, it looks like most drivers would be lucky to get more than 30,000 miles out of a set. They have an incredible amount of traction, especially from a dead stop, and are meant to be driven hard. The tires have a low treadwear rating compared to other All Season tires, although it is par for the course in this performance category.
So if you need a high traction tire that can be used on the street and the track, or maybe you just like to do some red light racing, the Avon Tech M500 is an excellent option.
