Tire: Radial T/A Spec
Category: Performance All-Season
UTQG (treadwear): 620 A B
This is basically the same tire as the BFGoodrich Radial T/A which we have already reviewed here, so I'll keep this fairly short and just focus on the differences. Just to start, the "Spec" nomenclature here just means that this tire was developed to be used as Original Equipment (OE) for modern muscle cars. Right now, some of the hottest Ford Mustangs and Chevrolet Camaros use this tire.
As for the the differences, while the Radial T/A only comes in sizes for 14" or 15" wheels, the Radial T/A Spec can be found in 17" and 18" varieties. Also, I'll point out that the treadwear rating is much higher on the Spec, so you will likely get many more miles out of these as well. Aesthetically, the Spec uses black lettering on the tire sidewall as opposed to white. Otherwise, these two tires are very similar in their performance and handling dynamics.
