Tire: g-Force T/A KDWS
Category: Ultra High Performance All-Season
UTQG (treadwear): 400 AA A
After reviewing all the information on the g-Force T/A KDWS, we came away with the impression that this tire is pretty much a blend between the BFGoodrich Super Sport A/S and the BFGoodrich T/A KDW. Essentially, what this amounts to is that BFGoodrich too all the aspects of the KDW, and made it into an all season tire. The whole purpose behind the g-Force T/A KDWS is the last part of the tire name -KDWS (Key feature: Dry, Wet and Snow traction). I think this tire is a pretty good option for those who live somewhere with four actual seasons, but still want to get pretty close to the performance of the T/A KDW summer tire.
The really cool aspect of this tire can actually be found on the inside. Internally, BFGoodrich has incorporated their own ETEC technology, which stands for Equal Tension Containment System. They use this technology to save weight, without compromising high speed durability and stability.
The really amazing part about these tires is how long they'll last under normal use. Drivers have seen up to 70,000 in some situations. However, if you intend on doing any amount of spirited driving or track use, you'll see that number come down quite a bit. I think the average for what we've seen puts the number around 55,000 miles before you'll need a new set -which is a very impressive number considering the treadwear rating on these tires.
