The BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S is a good blend of performance, treadwear, and four season capability. If you've read any of the reviews on summer tires on here, you've seen the disclaimer that they can't be used in snow/ice, etc. Well if you happen to live somewhere that actually does have winter, and you're looking for a tire that can still hold it's own performance wise, the Super Sport A/S is probably a good option to look at.
This is a pretty interesting tire really, BFGoodrich decided to utilize three tread compounds when in manufacturing. They put them across the tire in a side-by-side pattern, and this was in an effort to provide the best driving experience across dry, wet, and snowy conditions. Another feature of this tire is the Aqua-Chute feature which expels water from the treads, as well as Snow-Hook tread, which acts as a rubbery claw to enhance the footprint of the tire when driven on snow.
For this performance category, this tire will have a relatively longer life than others. It is not unheard of for drivers to get 50,000 or 60,000 miles out of these. If you intend to spend some time at the track, you may not see tire life get that high though. If performance is your key goal and you happen to live somewhere with wintry conditions, I think this tire or another in the category would prove to be a great option.
