Tire: Advantage T/A
Category: Grand Touring All-Season
UTQG (treadwear): 560 A A - 680 A B
This tire is the workhorse of the BFGoodrich stable. They manufacture this tire in a wide range of sizes for wheels anywhere from 15" to 18". I personally think this is a really good looking tire, with black lettering on the sidewall and a unique tread design. The Advantage T/A is designed to be used on sporty cars, but it's for drivers that don't really spend time at the track. Maybe cost is more on your mind than performance, and if so, this tire seems very appropriate.
Given the very high treadwear rating this tire receives, it is not uncommon for this tire to get over 50,000 miles under normal use before needing to be replaced, with some drivers are reporting that they can get almost 80,000 miles out of a set. Most drivers find this tire to be great for use on commuter vehicles, because of the long life, and also because it can perform well under adverse conditions. In the performance category, relative to other Grand Touring All-Season tires, the Advantage T/A has stiffer sidewalls, which make the vehicle have greater stability while cornering. Overall, a good long-life tire if you are looking for something that won't break the bank.
